Hummingbird

Vertical flying- show off!
Camouflage

The theme of the WP weekly challenge and my last entry for this week has to be one of THE Most ephemeral birds around- the hummingbird. She darts hither and thither teasing the photographer to capture that shot. These may not be the best I have ever taken but it is so nice to be able to enjoy this little bird and its antics this morning.

Hello! I’m Anne and it’s a pleasure to have you look in on my little food blog. As a Thermomix user for more than 10 years and an advisor I can tell you the tips, tricks and greatness of this kitchen wonder. Most of the recipes have Thermomix instructions but please dive in - a sponge is a sponge, and pastry can be made traditionally (but why would you?) I am a keen amateur photographer too, so if you’d like to see what I’m up to please visit my other Instagram page @vannilla

  1. Actually, the sighting was in Jeterville which I think is in Amelia County!! I remembered that was where you were from! There are only 2 sightings listed in VA so far. Be on the look out!😀

  2. Oh I see! Yes the male I think has a ruby neck. Actually I’ve seen several
Different kind in and around phoenix and and usually resort to the bird book for identification. Somebody needs to to develop a Shazam app for birds. !

  3. Oops, To clarify, that question was for Silver! Do you live in Arizona, Vanilla? Are your hummingbirds Ruby throats or another kind? I’ll have to look at the migration map! Enjoy your sightings!

  4. Hey, I have been following the hummingbird migration on a website map and someone posted a sighting I think was in your county! Was it you? I have been watching my feeder just in case they are nearby!
