Up first in this ‘into the forest’ challenge has got to be the awesome giant fern forests of North Island New Zealand. As a scot I thought I had seen big ferns! No way, these things get even more rain than Scotland and it’s like the day of the triffid walking through them- just fabulous. Colorado had to feature as, well, you know, it just had to feature if you are talking majestic forest- we have had a couple of stunning train trips through Southern Colorado – soaring eagles, water in the rivers (that’s a novelty in Arizona!) and amazing trees.

Thank you, vasilis, I appreciate your comment and the ‘follow’. I thought New Zealand was amazing in all sorts of ways, just a shame it is so far away from Europe.
