Route 66 has probably had more songs written about it than any other road and there are so many photo opportunities along it that this was a tough choice for this photo edit. The painted desert can be disappointing for photographs because they just don't catch what you have seen with your eye. That's why I think it's perfect material for a good edit. Time of day also makes a huge difference here and since the sun is almost invariably strong, late afternoon low in the sky sun works much better with the palette of colours.
The original shot was RAW canon 10-22mm lens, f22,
After cropping and onone preset HDR everything is a lot more defined (but unreal!) I guess you love it or hate it.
Tilting and aperture black and white edit gives an uninspiring shot, I think.
…and finally a perfect photo suite8 grunge edit, which I do like
It's my first time entering this challenge. Would love to hear any feedback.
