This amazing engineering object demands a double take, since at first glance it is a 'what is it!!?' Most of us are aware of the wonders of canals and equalising water and gradients through canal gates. The Falkirk wheel takes this to a whole new level.
I love this last shot as it might take a leap (no pun intended) of faith to motor on up to the edge- you have seen the drop!
